ICI - FINAL P. > CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

PROMEGRANATE - our construction project

The third and last project for ICI marked the end of out module. A surprisingly small scale project, a group of two people are meant to select a 30 by 30 metre site anywhere in campus to carry out a construction project. From the list of themes, we were given one by random, such as rest area or commercial area, and we had to develop our ideas on it based on two parts: first, the construction development and secondly, the building process (although this section was removed from the brief in the end). This was to be submitted in the form of a A4 report. Below is the brief.

I had teamed up with Rozanna (or known as Oat, affectionately) for this one. We received the food and beverage topic. I was lucky to have her as she had experience in basic construction skills and is clever at researching. Beforehand, we scouted for a potential area then measured and analysed our site in detail. Here are some photos of our site.

Our site offers good space for social activities
In the span of a day, we researched and came up with enough content to compile into a decent report. She would take general research and drawings, while I did site analysis and compiled the rest of the report. Below is a copy.

Even though we were a two-man team, we made a difference with our consistency to produce a fine report. I learnt that teaming up with like-minded and similar people make things easier and the project development smoother :) another enjoyable experience.
